Question:  What is the M96 Rifle?
Answer:   The M96 Rifle was designed along the lines of the Stoner 63 Weapon platform used by the Navy Seals and Marines in Vietnam.   It was designed so that it could be built as a carbine, rifle, top fed, or belt fed weapon.   Robinson Armament Co. made the M96 between 1999 and 2005 in carbine, rifle, and top fed configurations.  It was very reliable but quite expensive to manufacture due to its design.

Question:  Are you going to sell the M96 again?
Answer:  At the end of 2019, we began going through all our M96 parts inventory.   We have a lot of them, but are missing quite a few.   We will are currently figuring out how to acquire the missing parts and determine how many we want to build.   It will most likely be a very limited number.

Question:  What M96 configurations are you going to offer?
Answer:  We will offer the M96 in carbine, rifle, and top fed.   We may offer it in a belt fed configuration, but we are not promising this.

Question:  When will you begin shipping the M96?
Answer:  It will take several months.

Question:  Will you make spare parts for the M96?
Answer:  Yes, part of the reason we want to start up the M96 program is to provide spares for existing M96s.

Question:  Will the spare parts be compatible with older M96s?
Answer:  We will make the latest version of the M96 parts.   The earliest M96s had a different gas block and gas tube.  We will not make these older parts.  However, the later parts will work on the earliest M96s.

Question:  What barrel lengths will you offer?
Answer:   14.7″, 16″, 18.6″ , and  20″.   Shorter lengths are not possible.

Question:  What calibers will you offer?
Answer:   The barrels will be chambered with a .223 Wylde chamber.   No promises of additional calibers at this time.

Question:  What magazines does the M96 use?
Answer:   It uses standard AR15 magazines.

Questions:  Will you offer threaded barrels?
Answer:  The original M96s were made during the Assault Weapons Ban (1994 to 2004) and did not have threaded barrels.  New M96 barrels will have muzzles with common threads.

Answer:  If there is enough demand form them, we will build them.

Question:  What will the price be?
Answer:  It will be $2,495 for the carbine or rifle, and $3,995 for the top fed.   We do not have dealer pricing at this time.     The top fed kit will be $1,495.  These prices are subject to change at any time without notice.
