NEW XCR CONFIGURATIONS

What is an “Other Firearm?”
Pistols, Rifles, Short Barrel Rifles (SBRs), Any Other Weapon (AOWs), and Machine Guns are all defined by law. An “Other Firearm” is a configuration that does not fall within within the legal definitions of the forgoing. It’s not a pistol because it’s designed to be fired by two hands. It’s not a rifle because it’s not designed to be fired from the shoulder. It’s not an SBR because it’s not designed to be fired from the shoulder. It’s not an AOW because it’s over 26″ in length.
What’s the advantage of an Other Firearm.
The advantage is that it’s not an SBR requiring NFA registration even though it has a barrel less than 16″. So you don’t have to register it with the Feds, and you don’t have to tell the Feds if you want to travel out of state with it.
Furthermore, some states regulate rifles, pistols, SBRs, and AOWs, but don’t regulate Other Firearms.
Which XCRs can be sold as Other Firearms?
Many of our models can be configured as Other Firearms. Typically, they have a length adjustable stock that does not fold so they don’t go below the 26″ limit. They are designed to be fired by two hands because the have an arm brace and a vertical foregrip.
You can customize XCRs that are Other Firearms at the bottom of the page here.
